Facility, Living and Eating arrangements: Three residential group homes that closely approximate a real home setting located in rural environment close to Oologah Lake. Classrooms and counseling offices on-site.
Overview of program/Therapeutic model: Hope Harbor strives to give glory to God by providing residential educational, emotional, an dspiritual care designed to restore hope and to equip at-risk youth for lives with meaning and purpose.  This is accomplished through an alternative edcucation program, an accelerated learning program, individual , group, and family counseling, life skills training, a dynamic volunteer service program, use of level system, and reinforcement of Christian values.
Child best suited for program: Demonstrable need for out of home placement, mild to moderate behavior problems, average I.Q., learning disabilities.
Authority required for admission: Yes
Admission procedure: 1. Contact placement coordinator to describe placement problem. 2. Fill out application. 3. Schedule interview with Hope Harbor staff (including counselor, program director, houseparent). 4. Obtain necessary paper work.
Average time for admission: 2-4 weeks
Requirements of child: Agreeable to placement, amenable to placement in Hope Harbor school.
Requirements of parents/guardians: Agreeable to placement requirements and willing to work as member of team to fulfill residential goals.
Requirements of placing agency: Hope Harbor does not accept legal custody of children.
Mandatory admission requirements: Detailed application, physical, EIP, TB test, financial information, school records, birth certificate, shot records.
Supplemental information desired: Capacity: Foster Care 10; Group Care 20
Visitation policies: Visitation privileges vary, dependingon needs of child and circumstances. However, close family contact and involvement is encouraged. Parent or guardian retain legal custody.

Other services provided by Hope Harbor, Inc.:

A.       Counseling: Two MA level counselors providing individual, group, family counseling and some resource/ referral.

B.      Education:  Two certified teachers (1 MA) provide individualized instruction to address academic deficits and improve socialization skills.

C.      Vocational:  Not available.

D.      Medical:  Not in house; coordinated outside.

E.       Recreational:  Fishing, cycling, volleyball, baseball, basketball, volunteer service program.

F.       Foster Care:  Foster care provided primarily for former group home residents who need long term (+18 months) care.

G.     Treatment Plan:  Weekly review by counselor, teachers and houseparents.
