Two houses with 6 boys at each home. Overview of program/Therapeutic model: Gives boys the opportunity to participate in a positive family environment. Child best suited for program: Deprived and INS children Types of referrals accepted: DHS Authority required for admission: Yes Admission procedure: 1. DHS placed residents. 2. Receive placement worksheet. 3. Interview and place. Average time for admission: DHS: 3-7 days. Private: depends on bed availability. Requirements of child: Must meet criteria for level of care and must be willing to come to the OLBR. Requirements of parents/guardians: Willing an dable to participate in treatment planning. Requirements of placing agency: Referring worker is expected to maintain contact wiht OLBR staff adn resident. Mandatory admission requirements: Current psychological evaluation, physical exam within 90 days, birth certif., ss card, parent info. If temporary custody, copy of case treatment plan, I.L. Assessment (if 16), immunization records, custody order, medical card, current school records, IEP (if applicable). Visitation policies: Parents are encouraged to visit - approved visitations. Other services provided by Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch: A. Counseling: Group, individual and familhy counseling.
B. Education: REsidents will attend public school.
C. Vocational: Yes, through Merridian Technology Center.
D. Medical: Provided by local doctor.
E. Recreational: Residents are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities. Residents enjoy the freedom of the acreage surrounding each house inlcuding fishing, camping, basketball and volleyball facilities.
